Advanced Equestrian Student Application

    Advanced Equestrian Student Program Application

    The Advanced Equestrian Student Program is a supplemental educational opportunity that is available to current students at Boulder Pointe.  The program is voluntary and a privilege available only to qualified students by recommendation of a Boulder Point instructor only.






    Boulder Pointe's Advanced Equestrian Student Agreement

    The Boulder Pointe’s Advanced Equestrian Student Agrees to:
     
    1. Be responsible for signing up for Classes (which may include assisting with lesson groups, birthday parties, or other activities at Boulder Pointe) using the online scheduling tool
    2. Show up for Classes on time not early and leave no later than 30 minutes after the Class is over
    3. Be responsible for notifying Boulder Pointe they are unable to attend a Class
    4. Ask questions if they do not know how to complete a task or feel uncomfortable with a task
     
    In return Boulder Pointe agrees to:
     
    1. Provide hands on opportunities to learn how to care for horses
    2. Teach the Student how to safely and effectively perform each task
    3. Provide an opportunity for aspiring students to gain the experience and skills required to pursue an equestrian career
     
    Rewards and Consequences
     
    In the case of inappropriate behavior, failing to show up on time, failing to complete tasks or engaging in any conduct that Boulder Pointe deems to be unsafe or unbecoming the following consequences will be applied. 
     
    1. A warning will be issued and recorded
    2. A second warning in being put on probation and, if less than 18 year of age, will result in contacting the students’ parents
    3. A third warning will mean dismissal from the program.  


    Acknowledgement of Risk and Liability Release

    ​It is important for both the Advanced Equestrian Student and parents to understand that working around a barn can be dangerous. Horses can be unpredictable at times and even the most gentle of horses can do harm. Safety and understanding of the horse is taught to all students, but sometimes problems can occur. Boulder Pointe Equestrian and Event Center LLC, its owners, employees, or helping staff cannot be held liable for any accident that occurs to the above named Advanced Equestrian Student. The Advanced Equestrian Student Program is designed to help the student learn about the horse, be around the horse, and other tasks at the equine facility. All students in the Advanced Equestrian Student Program must be enrolled in a weekly lesson to participate in this program. Boulder Pointe management should be notified any time a student cannot attend a class. Inappropriate behavior around or with the horses can be cause for suspension from the program. Both the student and parent/guardian must electronically sign below:
